Rignano Sull'arno

Rignano sull'Arno originally capital, consisting of a few houses along the crossing of the river Arno, developed especially after the arrival of Florence-Rome railway. The town's economy was based until a few years ago on cement production resulting from the exploitation of quarries, the firm Aristide Bruschi. They had also important textile production, agricultural, based on the cultivation of that and lives. Currently, the area is made up of an industrial zone, comprising factories in developed mechanical, carpentry and manufacturing of brick.
